The Road Not Taken . . .

So many times along the route of life there have been
Options and junctions, crossroads and side roads,

And each time I met one I had to take the decision
About which one I would follow.

So many times in my life, looking back,
I know I took the wrong road, I followed hollow
Dreams to bleak and barren destinations
And had to trudge, despondently,
Back to where I went wrong.

Perhaps if I had waited to choose a partner
Instead of desperately accepting anyone who might
Have wanted me, then perhaps, perhaps,
I might have found happiness.

Today we had the classic poem 'The Road Not Taken' by Robert Frost as a prompt.
